General

• MeowCraft Studio operates from Suit F4, 5-6 Kings Court, York, YO17LD.

• By booking or attending a MeowCraft Studio class or workshop and purchasing goods from MeowCraft Studio, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

• All purchasing and bookings are subject to these Terms & Conditions. By placing a booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by them.

• We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Cancellation, Reschedule & Refund Policy 

*All the reschedule requests must be made by email to info@meowcraft.co.uk only*

Customer Cancellations

• Cancellations made 7 days or more before the class date: Refund available, subject to a £20 administration fee or option to reschedule once free of charge, subject to availability.

• Cancellations made 3–6 days before the class date: No refund will be issued and option to reschedule once free of charge, subject to availability. 

• Cancellations made less than 3 days before the class date or non-attendance: No refund will be issued and no reschedule. 

• MeowCraft Studio is not responsible if a child is unable or unwilling to stay for the session. No refund will be offered in such cases. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

MeowCraft Studio Cancellations

• In the rare event that MeowCraft Studio must cancel a class (e.g. unforeseen circumstances), will notify you as soon as possible. Customers will be offered the option to reschedule once at no extra cost. If rescheduling is not possible or not suitable, a full refund will be provided. No other compensation shall be payable. 

Late Arrival & Absent Policy

• Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before your class so we can begin on time.

• If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may not be able to join the session, as it disrupts the flow of the class and instructions already given. Please contact us as soon as possible by email to info@meowcraft.co.uk.We will do our best to advise, but entry cannot be guaranteed after the start time.

• If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, entry will not be granted and no refunds or rescheduling will be offered.

• If you are absent and do not attend your booked class (no-show), no refunds or rescheduling will be offered.

Force Majeure

• MeowCraft Studio is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power outages, staff illness, or government restrictions.

• In such cases, customers will be offered the option to reschedule once at no extra cost. If rescheduling is not possible or not suitable. Refunds may not guaranteed. No further compensation will be payable.

Booking & Payment Terms

• Bookings are confirmed only once full payment has been received.

• Accepted payment methods include online card payment, or cash in-store. Customers choosing cash in-store must pay at MeowCraft Shop, 43 Shambles, York (YO1 7LX).

• All prices are listed in GBP (£). VAT is included where applicable.

• Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card or, if the card has subsequently expired, other payment details will be required.

• Payments made by gift voucher will be refunded by issuing a replacement gift voucher of the same value. No cash or card refund will be given for gift vouchers.

Gift Vouchers & Discounts

• Gift vouchers and promotional discounts are valid only for the period stated at purchase, usually 6 months.

• Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Vouchers and discounts only be redeemed against MeowCraft Studio products or services.

Collection & Pick-Up

• Finished figures must remain with MeowCraft Studio after the experience to allow sufficient time for drying and finishing.

• Customers will be contacted when their figure is ready. Customers must not attend for collection until confirmation has been received from MeowCraft Studio.

• Collection must take place at the location and during the collection time or opening hours confirmed by MeowCraft Studio.

• Customers are responsible for providing correct contact details and arranging collection of their figure.

• If a figure is to be collected by another person, the customer must notify MeowCraft Studio in advance and provide the name of the authorised person.

• MeowCraft Studio reserves the right to request the customer’s name, booking details or other reasonable information before releasing a figure to another person.

• MeowCraft Studio may refuse to release a figure where we cannot reasonably confirm that the person collecting it is authorised to do so.

• Customers, or their authorised collector, should check the figure and packaging at the time of collection and report any visible concerns to a member of staff before leaving.

• Once a figure has been collected, responsibility for its safe handling, transportation and storage passes to the customer or their authorised collector.

• MeowCraft Studio is not responsible for loss, breakage, accidental damage, stains or other damage caused after the figure has been collected where such loss or damage is not caused by MeowCraft Studio.

• Nothing in this section affects the customer’s legal rights.

Collection of Finished Figures

• Customers will be notified when their finished figure is ready for collection.

• Finished figures must be collected within 3 months from the date we notify you that your figure is ready for collection.

• Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact details and arranging collection within this period.

• If a figure has not been collected within 3 months, we will make a reasonable attempt to contact the customer before taking any further action.

• Figures that remain uncollected after the collection period and following reasonable notice may be disposed of or recycled. MeowCraft cannot guarantee that an uncollected figure will remain available after this period.

Delivery & Shipping Policy

• MeowCraft Studio and Shop may offer delivery for selected artworks, acrylic figures, craft kits and other products, subject to availability and suitability for shipping.

• Deliveries are normally arranged through DPD or another third-party courier selected by MeowCraft.

• Delivery charges will be confirmed before payment and may vary depending on the parcel's size, weight and destination.

• Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed.

• Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address and contact details.

• MeowCraft will take reasonable care when preparing and packaging items for delivery. However, handmade artworks and acrylic figures may be fragile, and we cannot guarantee that all risks of damage during transportation can be eliminated.

• Customers are encouraged to inspect their parcels promptly upon delivery. If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 24 hours, with photographs of the item, packaging and any visible damage.

• Customers should retain the original packaging until any delivery-related issue has been investigated.

• MeowCraft will investigate reported loss or damage with the relevant courier and provide an appropriate remedy where required by applicable consumer law or our contractual obligations.

• Where a customer independently arranges their own courier, responsibility for the goods may transfer when the goods are handed to that courier, where permitted by law.

• MeowCraft is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

• Nothing in this policy excludes or limits customers' statutory consumer rights.

Children's Participation & Liability Policy

Minimum Age

• Children aged 5–11 years

• Must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the workshop.

• The child must have a full workshop ticket.

• The accompanying adult must purchase a £10 Accompanying Adult Ticket.

• The Accompanying Adult Ticket includes a seat in the studio, allowing the adult to supervise and assist the child. It does not include a figure or workshop materials.

• If the accompanying adult wishes to create their own figure, they must purchase a full workshop ticket.

Children aged 12–14 years

• May attend the workshop without an accompanying adult.

• A parent or legal guardian must provide up-to-date emergency contact details when booking and arrange prompt drop-off and collection.

• Due to limited studio capacity, only booked participants and accompanying adults are permitted in the workshop area.

Parents’ Responsibilities

• Parents or guardians must inform MeowCraft Studio staff before the session if the child has any medical conditions, allergies or additional needs that may affect their participation.

• Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring the child follows all safety instructions given by MeowCraft staff throughout the session.

• Parents and guardians must complete a registration form for each child before the session, including a contact number and relevant medical information.

• Parents and guardians remain responsible for the child's behaviour during the workshop. MeowCraft Studio reserves the right to end a session without a refund if a participant's behaviour is disruptive, unsafe or prevents the session from running safely for others.

Accessibility & Disability​

• MeowCraft Studio is located on the first floor of Kings Court, York. Access involves stairs, and the building's stairlift is currently out of service. We cannot confirm when it will become operational again.

• Customers who have a disability, mobility requirement or other accessibility need that may affect their ability to access the studio or participate safely in the experience are strongly encouraged to contact us before booking.

• Due to the physical layout and access limitations of the premises, we may not be able to accommodate all accessibility requirements.

• MeowCraft Studio will consider reasonable adjustments based on individual circumstances. However, an adjustment may not be possible where it cannot be provided safely or reasonably within the physical limitations of the premises.

• Where we are unable to safely accommodate a customer's individual accessibility requirements, we will explain the limitations and discuss any reasonable alternatives available.

• Customers who are unsure whether their accessibility requirements can be accommodated are encouraged to contact us before making a booking.

• Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits a customer's rights under the Equality Act 2010 or other applicable law.

Liability & Personal Belongings

• Participation in workshops involves the use of fluid acrylic paints, resin, and other art materials which may cause permanent stains or damage to clothing, shoes, accessories, mobile phones, bags and other personal belongings. MeowCraft Studio accepts no responsibility for any such stains or damage.

• Aprons and gloves are provided, but participants are still advised to wear suitable attire and take precautions.

• Customers are responsible for their own personal belongings at all times while attending MeowCraft Studio classes or visiting the premises.

• MeowCraft Studio accepts no responsibility or liability for loss, theft, stains, or damage to clothing, footwear, phones, bags, or other items, or for accidents, allergic reactions, injuries, or illnesses that may occur before, during, or after the session.

• By booking, parents/guardians and participants accept full responsibility for their own property and wellbeing and agree to release MeowCraft Studio from any claims relating to their participation.

• Parents/guardians remain fully responsible for their children at all times, including where children aged 12 years and above attend sessions without a parent present. Emergency contact details must always be provided.

• By booking, participants (and parents/guardians in the case of children) accept full responsibility for their own property and wellbeing and agree to release MeowCraft Studio from any related claims.

Pregnancy Advisory

• Some workshop materials (such as paints, mediums, and resins) may contain chemicals or fumes. Please consult your healthcare provider or medical professional before engaging in such activities to ensure they align with your specific health circumstances.

• MeowCraft Studio accepts no responsibility or liability for any issues, complications, or health impacts arising from attendance during pregnancy.

Health & Safety

• All participants take part in workshops and activities at their own risk.

• Customers must follow all safety instructions given by MeowCraft Studio staff.

• The studio reserves the right to refuse entry or stop a session if a participant behaves in a way that risks safety.

Refreshments

• A small refreshment area is available, offering packaged snacks and drinks.

• No outside food or drinks may be consumed on the premises.

• Customers are responsible for notifying staff of any allergies before purchase. MeowCraft Studio does not accept liability for allergic reactions.

Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

• Respectful behaviour is expected at all times in the studio.

• MeowCraft Studio reserves the right to refuse service or remove any participant acting in a disruptive, abusive, or unsafe manner.

• No refund will be issued in such cases.

Intellectual Property Disclaimer – Fluid Figures

• The blank figures used in MeowCraft Studio workshops are sourced from third-party suppliers.

• All copyrights, trademarks, and design rights in the original figure shapes remain the property of their respective owners.

• Workshop participation gives customers the opportunity to decorate and keep their personalised figure for personal, non-commercial use only.

• Customers may not reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit the designs, moulds, or figures beyond their individual workshop creation.

Photography & Media Use

• MeowCraft Studio will take photographs or videos during workshops for promotional purposes, including use on our website, social media, or other marketing materials. If you prefer not to be included, please notify staff in writing before your session begins.

• By booking a MeowCraft experience (class) without informing us that you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you give us permission to use such images and footage in our publicity materials. This applies to both adult participants and children. For children, consent must be provided by a parent or guardian.

• Customers may take personal photos/videos during their session, provided they do not disrupt the class or other participants. 

Privacy Policy

• MeowCraft Studio collects personal information (such as name, email, phone, date of birth and payment details) only for the purpose of managing bookings, purchases and communication.

• Information is stored securely and never shared with third parties, except where required for payment processing.

• By booking or purchasing, customers agree to be contacted with relevant updates about their booking or order.

• Customers may also choose to receive promotional emails about new workshops, special offers, or events. Consent will be requested at the time of booking or signup, and customers may unsubscribe at any time.

Complaints Procedure 

• MeowCraft Studio aims to provide a high-quality experience for all customers. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please raise your concern with a member of staff at the time, so we have the opportunity to resolve it immediately.

• If your complaint cannot be resolved during your visit, you may submit a written complaint by email to info@meowcraft.co.uk. Please include your booking details and a full description of the issue.

• We aim to reply to all written complaints within 14 working days.

• All complaints will be handled fairly, confidentially, and with the aim of resolving matters promptly.
